About the Artist
Her music first caught the attention of listeners around the world when she released her first single, an electronic ballad titled ‘Sticky Leaves’. Within weeks, the song unexpectedly rocketed up Spotify’s Global Viral 50 Chart, and garnered praise from Billboard, where it received its worldwide premiere. As she released song after song, international tastemakers like NPR’s Bob Boilen and BBC Radio 1 and even celebrity blogger Perez Hilton followed suit, propelling her far beyond her home country of Singapore and thereupon making national history.
Soon, she became the first female artist to sign with Universal Music for Asia Pacific, and subsequently the first Singaporean ever on US powerhouse label Nettwerk Music Group’s roster, joining the likes of label-mates Father John Misty and fun.. London-based boutique label Akira Records released her music in Europe and the UK, where she played her first ever headlining show.

Linying’s debut EP, Paris 12, premiered on DIY and clinched the #1 spot on iTunes Singapore the day of its release as she embarked on a tour spanning Asia, Australia, Europe and America, sharing festival stages with acts like Radiohead and The 1975 – a series of feats affirming her as one of the brightest and most exciting music acts coming out of Asia.
