Premiere of the First Work of 10-Year Music Commissioning Series Plan

The 10-Year Music Commissioning Series, initiated by the Foundation for The Arts and Social Enterprise, presents the first work “Movements in Time – Artworks from the National Gallery” premiere at the Esplanade on June 24.

Launched in September 2021, the “10-Year Composer Commission Plan” plans to invite a local composer to create a musical work every year, with diverse genres and styles, covering Western orchestral music, Chinese music, jazz, rock opera and musical theatre. The foundation hopes to establish a set of music classics belonging to Singapore through this plan and is committed to promoting this set of classics to the international stage.
