The Foundation Session on 29 June 2018 featured the incredibly talented, MARICELLE – an indie pop singer-songwriter. She has launched her first EP “Pursuit”, and debuted her 5-piece live band at the Esplanade Annexe Studio.
Her music features a blend of pop, contemporary R&B and UK electronica. Her vocals are bright and hypnotic, set against a backdrop of minimalistic sonic textures and atmospheric sounds, in music ranging from ethereal to anthemic. Peppered with social commentary from her perspective on urban living, MARICELLE’s lyrics explore her search for freedom and define her voice in a futuristic mural of pop culture and fluid identity.
